The 2020 Mustang Lineup Offers a Model for Every Lifestyle

2020 Mustang

As the second-best sports car according to U.S. News and World Report, the 2020 Ford Mustang has a lineup of powerful engines, upscale interiors, and user-friendly features. The vehicle comes in four trims and several configurations. But how do you know which vehicle works best for your needs? Find out more about the five trims you should consider.

EcoBoost

As the base trim, the EcoBoost comes standard with a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 310 horsepower. It comes paired with a six-speed manual transmission, but you can opt for a 10-speed automatic one. There’s an optional 2.3L High-Performance package, which increases the horsepower to 330 and has front and rear sway bars, upgraded brakes, active exhaust, and a limited-slip differential.

Inside the vehicle, you will find cloth upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a six-speaker audio system, a rearview camera, and the SYNC infotainment system. It also comes standard with the MyKey safety system, which lets you add audio and speed limits for secondary drivers and the FordPass Connect smartphone system.

This trim includes several upgrades, including dual-zone automatic climate control, rear parking sensors, and six-way power-adjustable front seats. For technology, you can opt for a nine-speaker audio system, two USB ports, satellite radio, the SYNC 3 infotainment system with an 8-inch touch-screen display, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

GT

The 2020 Mustang GT comes with a 5.0-liter V-8 engine that produces 460 horsepower. It’s also paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The standard GT only comes with a fastback coupe style instead of a convertible body style, but you can opt for the convertible. Its standard amenities resemble the EcoBoost, but it adds a limited-slip differential as standard. Its optional interior features include a heated steering wheel, navigation, and a 12-inch instrument display. For safety, you can choose blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

Bullit

The Bullit trim, which was introduced in 2019, is only available as a fastback. It comes with a more powerful version of the V-8 engine that produces 480 horsepower. It comes standard with many of the optional features found in the GT trim as well as an active valve performance exhaust system.

Shelby GT350

A high-performance trim, the Shelby GT350 comes standard with a 5.2-liter V-8 engine that boasts 526 horsepower. This engine is the most powerful naturally aspired engine found on any street-legal Ford vehicle. Standard features include aerodynamic body accents, front sport seats, and automatic adaptive suspension.

Shelby GT500

New for 2020 is the top-of-the-line Shelby GT500 trim. This vehicle has a supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 engine that produces a massive 760 horsepower. This number makes this trim the most powerful production car ever. It also offers a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, advanced chassis and suspension, and high-performance tires.
